Help me give my students sensory items to build their pre-academic skills to support their future life skills.

My Project

My students all have diagnosed disabilities and struggle with play. Providing my students with materials to play with independently or with their peers supports sensory exploration and provides them with items to explore and build skills need for pre-academics.

Fine motor skills can be developed through sensory play and supports children throughout their lives with life skills activities like manipulating zippers, buttons, working with items, eating, writing, and other self-help and independence skills.

Sensory play with items like the Abilitations Aquarium Gel Lap Pad, can also support students with self-regulation with items that help them remain calm during trying times.
