In our classroom, sensory-based learning is essential for many of my students who struggle with texture and sensory diet needs. The materials I'm requesting (light table, bubbles, blocks and tray) will help the students explore different textures while interacting and engaging in hands-on learning with their peers.
Sensory play includes any activity that stimulates a child's senses: touch, smell, taste, movement, balance, sight and hearing.
Sensory activities facilitate exploration and naturally encourage children to use scientific processes while they play, create, investigate and explore. With sensory based materials, our students' sensory diet plans will be met daily.
