My Project

Adding sensory toys and a water table to our special education preschool classroom isn't just about making things more fun. It's about creating a place where all of our students can grow and learn in their own unique ways. These toys and activities let our students use their senses to explore and discover new things.

Sensory play is especially important for my students with life skills needs.

It's not just about having fun; it helps them learn how to manage their feelings and get along with others. Seeing my students light up as they play with sensory activities is amazing. But sometimes, messy play can be tricky. That's where the water table and other sensory toys come in handy. They give us a safe way to explore without worrying about making a mess. Plus, they encourage teamwork and cooperation as we play together.

One of my students loves playing with water, but we've had to be careful because it can get really messy. Now, with these new materials, they can enjoy water play without any worries. I can't wait to see the excitement on their face as they splash around!

These sensory toys aren't just for fun; they help my students grow and learn in important ways. As they play with sand, feel different textures, and use their imagination, they're not just having a good time; they're also building important skills for school and life. These toys help them express themselves, solve problems, and learn to work with others in a friendly environment.

We will use the large sand and water sensory table as a means to make sure all of our students have a turn- the smocks so they dont get too messy, the shaving cream and bins for more sensory fun!
