My Students

I have the pleasure of teaching 40 of the sweetest 3-5 year old learners. For a lot of them this is their first experience with a school environment. All of them bring something different to the classroom and they all have different needs. In fact, half of my students have some sort of special need. This means it is important for me to have all of the necessary tools to make each of them have a successful learning experience. They come in each day eager to learn and explore in our classroom.

Their excitement to learn pushes me each day, to be a better teacher.

Many of them will be going to kindergarten next year, so it is my goal to provide them with the foundation so that next year they have a successful year of "real" school!

My Project

My students range from the ages of 3 to 5 so they bring a lot of energy and excitement to the classroom. Unfortunately the weather in Ohio is very unpredictable. Our students need the ability to run and play outside, but if the weather is not permitting we are forced to stay inside.

During the winter months we can go weeks without having any outdoor play, which can be very difficult for preschoolers.

A sensory path will allow our students to wiggle and move even when we have to stay inside! The required moves of this specific sensory path will also help our students work on their gross motor skills, while still having fun! We also have students with different needs that may require them to take frequent brain breaks, a sensory path will allow them to have a successful sensory output while still being in the classroom.
