Help me give my students Mindfulness. Students need to learn about their emotions and how to use them. With the items on my list students will benefit greatly in the social/emotional realm.
All students are special, all kids are! In this classroom, lessons or activities will be based on social and emotional skill building.
We are a very high needs school.
Our school district it in the highest poverty county of the state.
They are brilliant students who navigate through a constantly changing world. They are bright and eager for knowledge. They are thirsty for experiences that will help them become successful adults in this tough world.
They range from ages 7 to 13 and are very diverse in their heritage and culture. They are truly amazing young individuals.
My Project
My project consists of items my classroom is still in need for. Since the beginning of the school year I have purchased, out of my own pocket, 17 chairs. I am asking for a few more to cover all my students who come in for social/emotional learning.
In today's classroom we are up against the world of video games and movies.
Instant gratification challenges us in the education world. These tools I am requesting will help me in that battle.
The bean bag chairs give students the right amount of comfort with the perfect alternative seating option. The fidgets help students who struggle to focus, zoom in on their academics. The fidgets also help relieve anxiety and or anger for some students.
