I teach at a charter school that was created for students with Autism, ADHD, and other special needs. My special students are making huge academic progress as they receive one-on-one leveled reading, math, and functional skills instruction. Many students make over a year's worth of progress over the course of the school year.
My students require various accommodations in the classroom and their instruction in order to meet their diverse academic, behavioral, and sensory needs in the classroom.
My students enjoy learning and work hard each day despite their differing abilities.
My Project
My students all have different sensory needs that we deal with on a daily basis. Students stopped coming to school in March during the Pandemic. When my students return to school, I want to be sure to meet their emotional and sensory needs so they can be comfortable in school.
Please help me provide magnetic tiles, classroom materials storage, student mailboxes, and flexible seating options for my students.
Many of my students are on the Autism spectrum and will have elevated sensory and sensory regulation needs when they return to school. I wish to provide all the help they need.
