My Students
My classroom consists of twenty four 3-5 year old students. I teach at a Title I school. I have a diverse classroom and have special needs students with a variety of needs integrated in the classroom setting.
In my classroom, we learn through play and discovering the world around us through active exploration. My students love to investigate and learn through play. Preschool is the foundation of learning and my goal is to foster a love for school in my students.
My Project
My preschool classroom is an inclusion model. Half of my students are typically developing and half are special needs. I have a variety of disabilities in my classroom. My students more extensive needs include cerebral palsy and autism.
My students are in need of sensory materials in the classroom to make them successful every day. They are in need of fidgets and specialized seating to help them focus during whole group times. My students would benefit from the use of compression vest to help control their bodies while working in the classroom. These materials will help my students successfully move through the classroom and interact with their peers.
