Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are superstars! We have such a great community of students and families. They are hard workers, with dreams of success for their future. Ninety-nine percent of our scholars qualify for free or reduced-priced lunch. For many of them, English is not their primary language. We try our best to create an environment of loving learning, especially literacy. Our students get very excited whenever we get new supplies in our classroom. Thank you in advance for thinking of us!
My Project
Many of our younger students are in need of flexible seating pads, fidgets, sensory timers, chewlery and weighted items to feel comfortable and safe in the classroom. Sometimes our students need a little something extra to calm and soothe themselves to be ready to learn. The items I am requesting will do just that. We use the wobble seat pads to help students who like to move while learning. The sensory timers help calm students who need a break, while the fidgets, chewlery and weighted items give our students the sensory input they are searching for in order to feel calm. I requested similar items last year and this year I am trying to add to my stock so that all kids can get what they need. Any donation is appreciated to help our scholars!
