My Project

Help me create a sensory friendly space for my speech and language students! I'd like to further develop my understanding and education to IEP teams regarding neurodiversity affirming practices and total communication strategies.

Sensory tools will be used to support regulation during therapy sessions, as well as being an item students can request to work on building independent self-advocacy skills.

Books will be used for professional development and to share resources with teams to support learning styles and best practices. There have been many exciting advances in how we approach social communication in a way that honors diverse learning styles, and these books will help further that practice.
