My Project

During school closure and covid associated restrictions our littlest learners were greatly impacted. They lost time to grow with peers and learn how to function in the community. Now that they are back in school full time and have the restrictions lifted on their social interactions, I want to utilize the time and resources to the fullest to help them gain skills to enter Kindergarten prepared socially and emotionally. This age group missed out on growing naturally in their community and with their peers. This project will give me the ability to expose them to a variety of materials to aid in their growth.

This project will give me the tools to help them meet their social emotional needs.

The sensory needs for my students impedes their ability to access their education. Having these sensory tools, positive reinforcers and accessories to develop social emotional materials for my students will help them access their education in a general education setting. These sensory tools will help them manage feelings, follow limits and expectations in the classroom, take care of their own needs, and practice personal safetl
