My students are hard working, full of life and eager to learn in any way possible! They really enjoy thinking outside the box and using new items to learn with! All 24 of my students are hard working and deserve to have all the things that help them learn in new and exciting ways.
My students have the incredible support of their families to help them learn letters, shapes, and colors, as well as, many other things we learn about on a daily basis.
Having the ability to provide my students and families with amazing opportunities to learn makes my heart full!!
As a teacher, my number one goal for my students is that they leave my classroom not only academically prepared for Kindergarten but also emotionally and socially ready as well. My school is set in a middle class neighborhood. Providing high-quality, engaging experiences for these students is not always readily available or affordable for families.
My Project
The materials chosen are items that the children can use their senses through centers. The Colorful Kidfetti will give the children the ability to search for letters in the sensory table while using tweezers, working on their fine motor.
The fossils will allow the children to explore science in a way that they would normally never experience.
It's not every day you find a fossil in your backyard, but in Mrs. Pitzo's room, they can see the many fossils while using their magnifying glasses!
The light cube caddy will allow the children to have their accessories readily available while they use the amazing light cube. Having those accessories in plain view, rather than in a non-clear storage container will remind the children that there are things to use with the light cube!
The writing caddy will provide a more organized writing center while the children write their letters and color their amazing artwork.
The Mini Muffin Match Up Set will help the children match the number of items with a particular number. All too often, numbers are hard to grasp, but being able to provide a fun and colorful object(s) helps the child remember the intended number being taught.
