Sensory Classroom

My students need a stand up desk stool and sensory lighting due to being very sensitive to light and sound. They also need the ability to move and stand to be able to complete their work.

My Students

My students are special in many ways. They work hard and like trying new things. My students have great personalities that keep me smiling, crying and laughing. My students that have Moderate Intellectual disabilities, Mild Intellectual disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Autism.

My students do not just learn educational based information but functional skills to help they concur their future.

They are exciting young people that have taught not just me but the students around them that the world is full of beautiful differences.

My Project

I work with students with autism and students with ADHD. My students need supplies that will allow them to stand up to do their work, lighting that is gentle on their eyes, and gives them the ability to work on a board that allows them to easily erase their mistakes.

My students are constantly moving and struggling with noise from florescent lights that most people can not hear.

Being able to stand at a desk and work would help them to become more productive. Not having to struggle with sounds from florescent lighting will help them to be able to concentrate on what they are trying to learn.
