Sensory Calming Tools for Ms. Smetanick's Calm Down Corner

Help me give my students sensory calming toys for my calm down corner to help them calm down from feeling overwhelmed, sad, scared, mad, or nervous.

My Project

My students are fun, bright, and vulnerable. They know it is okay to express your emotions and to feel safe while doing so. I teach at Title I school where many of the students come from low income house holds. Therefore, there are not many resources available for them.

I would use these tools to help my students learn to cope with their emotions.

These lap pads and shoulder wraps can help calm students down when they are feeling overwhelmed, scared, sad, or mad. The sensory aspect of it helps students when they are feeling this way so they can have their minds focus on something else.

I would be so thankful to have these donated to my classroom and my students would love it too!
