My Students

My students attend an amazing school that receives Title 1 services. They are all hardworking children who want to succeed. These children bring more joy to my life than I ever could have imagined. My students also have special needs ranging from Learning Disabilities to Autism. My favorite thing about these kids is I have yet to see any of their "disabilities" hold them back. Each one of my students is special, not only to me, but to the entire school.

My Project

The items in my project, such as the Osmo Pizza Company kit and Scrabble Jr., will be used in my resource classroom to facilitate learning of reading and mathematics skills through play and concrete manipulatives. Other items, such as the stress ball, stuffed dog, and Tangle, will be placed in a "Tool Box" to promote calm and focused behavior. The Tool Box is a part of the Zones of Regulation program and emphasizes students exploring various sensory-related items to help them keep a happy mindset throughout the day. These items will help my students get the most out of their learning environment!
