My Students

Hello! I have a combined class of wonderful, enthusiastic, and warm-hearted 4th graders from Paradise, California. We are currently housed by the kind people of Durham. We are a hard-working group of students located in rural Northern California.

The Camp Fire has disrupted the education of these wonderful children, and 90% lost everything in the fire.

And many of their grandparents, extended families, and friends lost their homes as well. The Camp Fire destroyed our community.

My goal is to provide a comfortable space for learning and growing as we build our lives back together.

My Project

Thank you for considering this project for my students. These wobble chairs are actually great core muscle developers as well as fun for the students use in the classroom.

Alternate seating is one thing I am trying to give these students in the classroom as we try to return to some regular routines and work schedules.

Students have tried a number of different seats, and these are by far the favorite! Right now students rotate who gets to use the 5 wobble chairs we have already in our classroom. I am hoping to get enough for most of the class to have the choice of this type of seating if they so desire! Thank you!
