Kindergarten is an exciting time in every child's life. My students are at the beginning of their school career. They are developing their academic foundation and are bright and eager to learn! My students are creative and enjoy opportunities for active participation. My students understand they are both learners and teachers within our classroom community.
My kindergarten students love to take ownership of their own learning.
By giving them choices within the classroom, their individuality is being honored and their learning is enhanced.
My Project
I consider my classroom a home away from home for my students! The environment in which they learn should meet individual needs as well as preferences!
These wobble stools will allow my students to have options for seating styles to ensure maximum engagement in the various activities we are involved in throughout the day.
Research shows that flexible seating options can improve attention span as well as core strength and posture.
Students take ownership of their own learning when they make choices that are conducive to their needs and they have a better sense of independence as well as community when they can choose various places and seating within the room as learning activities change throughout the day.
