My students need sight word sentence boards for reading practice, story stencils for writing practice, and science viewers to inspire writing non-fiction books.
The students in my class are learning and growing in a small school of kindergarten through 5th grade students. Students get excited about reading and writing and take pride in their work. They are responsible and respectful of their classroom; they take ownership by helping to clean the classroom and care for materials as well as for each other.
My goal is to have every student feel empowered, encouraged, and accepted.
If that is accomplished, then students are able to concentrate on developing personal skills. The students in my classroom are all working on individual goals and their instruction is differentiated to help accomplish those goals.
My Project
In the world of kindergarten, students arrive at school with multiple skill sets and diverse backgrounds. All of the students are working to gain knowledge and build on to whatever reading and writing levels they have attained. It is my responsibility to ensure that students develop skills that will help them to learn and grow academically.
Your generous donation will make a significant impact on the development of students' reading and writing skills.
Joy and delight will abound with these engaging literacy activities. The Sight Word Sorting and Magnetic Sentence Boards will allow students multiple opportunities to read and recognize the words they need to progress to the next instructional level.
The Trace and Write Story Stencils as well as the Alphabet Practice Cards will further cement the work with the reading level they are trying to master. The Trace and Write Story Stencils are unique in that they have a word bank listed on the side of the stencil so students can write about the object they create. The Practice cards are "write and wipe" story boards that allow students to practice writing about familiar images again and again.
The Pattern Cards for Magnetic Designer will give students practice to build fine motor development for writing skills. Students will use a magnetic wand and metal disks to create colorful patterns.
With these engaging activities, you will be helping students to have fun, while boosting their self-esteem and their academic success.
