Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I strive constantly to create an inviting, enriching, and dynamic classroom environment for my spectacular third graders.
I’m thrilled to be the teacher of 56 lovely students.
My students have various strengths and talents that I seek to highlight and showcase whenever possible. Sixteen of my students have been diagnosed with various learning disabilities, and some are in the process of being tested. A majority of my students are Hispanic from all over the Caribbean and Latin America. They come from high poverty homes where many of their parents don’t speak, read, or write English, and some of the students don’t either. And though each child is unique, they have something in common: an eager and energetic quest for knowledge.
My Project
A color printer will allow me to reward my students' achievements with color certificates. The color printer and Silhouette Cameo System will allow me to create colorful attention-grabbing center activities and manipulatives for my diverse learners. Cameo Accessories, such as the temporary tattoo paper, will allow me to create fun incentives for the students as well.
My students face many challenges.
Overcoming poverty, language barriers, and learning disabilities is a lot for anyone and especially for an 8-year-old child. These children deserve to come into a classroom environment that is visually engaging and enriching. Personalized manipulatives and center activities keep their attention and focus. They deserve to be rewarded for their hard work and perseverance. By providing them with quality certificates, they will take greater pride in their achievements.
