Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I currently work with high school students as a college adviser. My students are full of hope and have big dreams. Their future, as college students and studying their career choice is approaching. Most of my students come from low-income families and the college process is becoming a stressful topic for them and their families. Most of my students are really driven and want to be successful in life.
Some of my students are not able to get certain items for their life as a college student as their income is limited.
My Project
These materials would make a difference in my students' learning greatly as the materials will relieve some type of financial stress off their shoulders. A laptop will help a student with essays and online homework as most of the work is being done online.
I will teach my students that anything can be possible if you set a goal and remind yourself why you are doing it.
The learning outcomes would make them reach their goal of going to college and not stopping their dreams of higher education because of the financial strain. Students would have the chance to show gratitude after their hard work.
