I have 23 amazing and busy first-grade kiddos this year. My kids love to learn and are hard workers. While we have everything we need, these supplies would help our classroom become a more comfortable and fun place to learn for my active class.
I teach in a Title I school, where 100% of our students receive free breakfast, lunch, and supper.
Despite the economic hardships of our community, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They come ready to learn each day with a great attitude. They support each other and look out for each other.
By offering new and different ways to learn, students will be more successful and be able to learn more.
My Project
Our fantastic school has no windows. These light covers will not only tone down our fluorescent lights, they will let us see some beautiful blue sky even on those rainy days. These light covers will help students be able to focus and relieve stress from the fluorescent lighting in our building. My students are going to absolutely love the Pete the Cat covers. It is a great way to incorporate our reading and a love of literature into our classroom.
I want to be able to give all of my students the opportunity to learn in the most comfortable and child-friendly environment possible.
By allowing all students to wiggle and fidget while they learn, all of them will be able to focus for longer periods of time and learn more. We will use the fidgets, fidget bands, and cushions throughout the classroom to allow all students to be able to wiggle while they work.
