Send Our Education to the Third Dimension

Help me give my students 3D Modeling and Printing experience by funding 3D printers for our classroom, please.

My Students

My engineering and robotics students are extremely driven and dedicated. They are the ones begging to stay after school to work on improving their skills, until midnight sometimes. We work with limited materials and tools, but the output they make with their work, skills and knowledge is immeasurable. Funding 3D printers for our classroom would be a great investment and greatly appreciated!

We can promise that any funding we receive would be used towards the improvement of STEM skills.

Our students seek out outreach events where they can show students the STEM opportunities that are out there and we love to bring new technology with us to make sure the new tech is introduced to those in the community who may not have access.

My classes and robotics teams are comprised of students who are approximately 70-80% on free or reduced lunch, 80% are first generation high school graduate future college students, and around 50% female.

My Project

A lot of my engineering curriculum has 3D Modeling as a major learning objective. My robotics students also love to create prototype parts for their robots. My students create amazing and creative pieces, but they rarely are able to print out a tangible 3D model because I only have an old 3D printer that is on its' last leg due to the amount of use we have gotten out of it over the past 5 years we have had it.

I have around 150 students working in my room throughout the week and if we had three 3D printers total to work with, I know that this opportunity would provide extended engagement, a boost in creativity, knowledge, and experience that my would benefit my students immensely due to more students being able to utilize the printers.

We do not have easy access to a Maker Space or funds to purchase needed technology. Anything we could get would be greatly appreciated!
