My Students

Energy, enthusiasm, curiosity, creativity, and a true love of learning is what I see in my classroom each day, and it is a teacher's dream. But gifted students also come with unique learning needs that require accommodations in order for them to reach their potential. I am a teacher of the gifted and talented and work with a different grade level of gifted students each day. I am truly amazed at what these first through fifth graders are capable of doing. We focus on units of study covering all areas including science, the arts, economics, history, marketing, and more.

My Project

The Georgia Association for Gifted Children Conference is one of the only professional development opportunities that is specifically geared towards gifted students and teachers. Keynote speakers, breakout sessions, viewing new resources and technology, and hearing the latest and greatest strategies are just a few of the wonderful things I will be doing at the conference. This year's theme is "Lighting The Way: What will be your gifted education legacy?".

When I return from the conference, I will immediately apply the new strategies I have gathered from the various speakers and breakout sessions to my daily lessons.

My goal is to share what I learn at the conference with my fellow TAG colleagues during one of our monthly meetings.
