Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at the first bilingual public school in the nation. The students at my school are immersed in our dual language program. My students are completely bilingual, bi-cultural and bi-literate.

I motivate my students to think outside the box, and create magic everyday!

I have one class of gifted and talented students and the other class is a class that is composed of general education students in a variety of academic levels. I also teach them to reflect and create a new adventure everyday. I enjoy teaching through games and engaging the students to learn!

My Project

I first experienced "Get Your Teach On" while attending a 2 day conference in 2019. This conference inspired me to transform the way I present and teach material to my students. While at the conference I learned so many exciting techniques that I am currently implementing in my class now but I still have so much more to learn. Attending the GYTO National Conference, will continue to inspire and teach me the tools to become an even better educator.

I want to be able to inspire my students to become life-long learners!

I am certain that by attending this conference I will be able to learn how to completely engage my students through fun games, classroom transformations and hands-on learning.
