Help me give my students a mid-morning snack to keep them energized and focused on their learning please. A fruit cup or bag of Veggie Straws goes a long way for my kids.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
It's hard to focus on learning when your emotional and physical needs are not always met. Almost all of my students live below the poverty line. Their families all work hard to provide for them, but many still struggle to cover basic needs such as housing, food and clothing. Students frequently come to school hungry and tired due to little resources in the home such as breakfast or a bed to sleep on. Many basic school supplies such as folders or gym shoes are not in the budget for our families.
Many students feel hopeless about their ability to succeed in school.
My students are eager to learn, but frequently doubt their abilities. Many of these kids are learning English as a second or even as a third language. Please consider supporting these great kids reach their full potential and believe in themselves.
My Project
My students rely on school breakfasts and lunches for their nutrition. Most students do not have the resources at home to allow for morning or after-school snacks.
When mid-morning rolls around I start to hear tummies rumbling.
Many students lose focus. I bring in fresh fruit once a week to help. Snacks such as trail mix, fruit cups, and granola bars, to fill my small closet will go along way in helping make sure these students can all have a snack each day.
I have noticed that when my students are able to choose a snack, not only can they concentrate more fully on learning, but they also seem to feel cared for. Please consider helping me make sure each student can be provided for. Thank you.
