My Project

DSA has changed the way we do education: we have built in a reset point for both students and staff. Similar to colleges across the nation, at the semester mark we switch who our students are and they switch their classes! This not only leads to amazing relationship building, smaller class sizes, and more focused learning, but also allows all members of the school community the time to reset at the semester mark.

I want to prepare for this reset by prepping my classroom with resources to support the health and mental health of my students.

This includes hand soap and masks to prepare for the winter months that we will have together, calm strips and a stuffed animal talking piece as we continue to build up our mental health through fidget opportunities and restorative circles.

My students are smart, they are ready for a new set of courses and new challenges. Help me to prepare for them so that I can provide a safe learning space to end the year in!
