My students attend a tuition-free public charter high school in Oakland, dedicated to transforming students’ lives by preparing them for success in college and in life. Students are offered a rigorous academic experience and a diverse, compassionate community in which to grow.
My students are inspired and empowered to be leaders in their high school education and their communities.
The vast majority of my students will be the first in their family to attend college, making this college focused community especially beneficial. They are passionate, caring and dedicated to their educations and their futures.
My Project
These supplies will help keep my classroom running smoothly! In semester 1, students appreciated having a constant flow of supplies so that remembering a pencil or not having an eraser was not a big deal. The purple pencils go along with our school spirit! Go Panthers!
To students, having these supplies shows that I care.
This time around, I'm getting snacks too so that being hungry doesn't stop learning.
Colorful clipboards help me stay organized throughout the day based on each period. I can't wait for semester two to keep on its way, and love that these supplies arrive so quickly.
