My students need resources to help regulate their emotions and stay focused during learning time. The yoga balls will be a great asset to flexible seating within our classroom.
I work very closely with my special education teacher whom I currently co-teach a 3rd grade DCT class with. We have a wide variety of students with diverse strengths and needs.
Our students' strengths include their relationships with one another and their awareness of when a fellow peer is upset or having a tough time.
They also take pride in their successes and accomplishments.
Our students' needs range; we have students who have academic needs and students who have significant socio-emotional needs. Providing our students with tools and strategies to identify, regulate, and respond to their emotions appropriately is necessary in order for them to be successful.
I truly enjoy working with each and every one of my students!
My Project
In our DCT class we have students with various needs in academics and socio-emotional skills. Myself and the special education teacher will be following our students up to 4th grade next year, we are very excited to stay with this group of students for another year!
Yoga ball seating will allow our students options for flexible seating within the classroom to assist with meeting their individual needs.They will assist in helping our students to focus better during learning time.
They will provide students with benefits for focus, posture, core strength and productivity.
Our pencil sharpener recently broke, that is why it is on the list. Having sharp pencils is an essential part to students learning.
