Being able to self-regulate is an important skill for all individuals to learn. This project will provide my students with tools to help regulate their uneasiness or restlessness. We fidget when we’re bored, when we’re uncomfortable, and when we’re restless. Stimulating the tactile system can help improve sensory processing along with regulating emotions and behaviors.
Having access to the fidget tools will help my students remain focused or calm down and return back to learning at a quicker pace.
Teaching my students how to use these tools now will only help enhance their abilities to focus and learn the classroom materials as they continue to age.
