Self-Portrait Art for Students with ADHD and Autism

I am the art teacher in an Ohio charter school. Our school is a special education program for students who have been diagnosed with ADHD and/or Asperger's Syndrome (mild autism). I teach 175 students at all grade levels, K-12.

My students are awesome! They are incredibly creative and curious and always interested in exploring new art mediums. Recently, my students have expressed interest in learning how to draw (and paint) more realistically. A great place for us to start is by learning to draw the human face and creating our own self-portraits.

I am requesting self-portrait mirrors to stand on tables while learning to study the human face. We also need high quality watercolor paints to render our self-portraits and create a wide spectrum of color in our paintings. Finally, we will need thick watercolor paper to create our final projects. With this variety of art supplies, I can teach these curious kids how to make more realistic drawings and explore a new art medium.

Please help my happy, huggable, and hyper students learn to create more realistic art work! Your donation will empower my students to become better artists and feel proud of their accomplishments in art class.
