Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Some of the students have earned the right to be a Self Manager. We like to show them off.
I teach Physical Education in a high poverty inner city public school in Indiana.
Our school has almost 600 students, K-6, who love Physical Education! I see every student twice a week. We rarely go outside to play, and I want to teach the students how to exercise inside. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they could then go home and teach their families what they have learned? By doing this, the entire family will be exercising together, and everyone would be in shape!
Help me help them with childhood obesity!
My Project
My students need business cards to make self manager badges. Also laminating pouches to protect them. When a student has earned the right to become a self manager, they get to wear a badge. Having a nice badge that is laminated to protect it is a great way for everyone to know. This is a honor to be able to wear this badge. I print out their badge with their teacher's name on it and then, laminate it. The students love being able to wear a nice badge to show off.
Donations to this project will help over 600 students in my school get on the right road to do their part to become an outstanding student.
