My Students

Imagine a classroom in which students can let their curiosity, imagination, and collaboration skills be their guides for learning and growing. Students arrive at our centralized site for gifted and talented education class and interact with intellectual peers to delve deeper into content, develop strategic gaming skills, and hone their logical thinking abilities.

Our high ability students are full of curiosity and seem to be overflowing with unanswered questions about just about everything under the sun.

They all participate in a research projects in areas of personal interest. Their research showcase is quite a sight: wide variety of topics, presentation methods, and products to share with our community members.

My Project

Our gifted and talented education classroom needs two additional Sphero Minis and four more Rubik’s Cubes. During the GATE day, students choose an area of interest from several choices. With such a high interest in coding, programming the Sphero Minis using block language has been a popular choice. Collaboration skills and logical thinking skills are applied with the Spheros. Rubik’s Cubes, on the other hand, captivate them. Their determination and perseverance when solving the puzzle is a joy to see.

The two additional Sphero Minis and four Rubik’s Cubes will enable students to work in smaller groups, which in turn provides more hands-on opportunities for learning.
