My first-grade class is located in a rural part of the South Carolina. Seventy five percent of my students are living at or below poverty level. Many of my students have never been outside of our small community. I want my students to experience the world outside of our community. One way this can be accomplished is by reading good books and writing about what they have learned. One of my responsibilities is to teach my student to be critical thinkers about what they are reading. It can be hard to find a comfortable place to read. This grant will assist my students by giving them flexible seating in the classroom.
Help my students find a place to learn by giving them a personal laptop table to use in their own spot in the classroom.
This grant will give my students a choice of where to sit and read a book or to writing a story. My students are at many different learning styles and development levels. These laptop tables will motivate the students to open a book and read. I know these laptop tables are going to be very popular in the classroom.
My Project
In my classroom I have a variety of developmental levels in my students. Students need to have a place to call their own and be successful. Not all students like to sit at a desk and read or work on a computer. Students need flexible seating to help them learn at their own pace.
This grant will give additional seating options for all of my students.
These Portable laptop tables will help me students stay focused and on stay in one place. The tables will allow my students to rest in their own area and work at their own pace. I know my students will enjoy sitting at these tables while writing, reading, working on a laptop, or a computer.
