I teach in a Title I school in Utah where all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. We are a STEM school that is focused on giving our students the best opportunities to learn, grow, and be successful.
Every day we are learning and growing together.
I work to make sure that my students are practicing their SEL skills and academic skills every day. Movement is also a large part of my classroom and is integrated into every lesson.
My Project
These recess materials will give students the opportunity to develop their Social and Emotional Learning Skills. Students will learn and practice group and partner games using these materials and with direction from teachers.
The storage totes will be used to safely and securely store the equipment, encouraging students' responsibility and ownership over their own equipment.
I hope to instill a sense of belonging and contribution to the classroom by giving students the opportunity to collaborate with their classmates in and out of the classroom environment.
The ability to problem-solve will be expended on by the addition of these resources and allow students to build stronger relationships through games and proper communication.
