My Students

Our students deserve to have hands-on music experiences! Right now, there is not a lot available for elementary and early middle school music classes and we are hoping to change that and allow students to explore music in a variety of ways! These students are dancers, artists, creators, and musicians! I am very excited to work towards giving them experiences with a variety of instruments and materials this year!

My Project

Music can be a very emotionally vulnerable topic and my biggest goal is to provide my students with a safe and comfortable environment for learning. Part of this plan involves flexible seating, multiple output options such as whiteboard answers, and visual timers. These supports can help students in a variety of ways. I also would like to display books in my calm corner that promote social emotional learning and provide a quiet break area for students who need it during class when they might be overwhelmed or overestimated by content.
