My Students

I teach 4th graders at a Title I school in Southwest Florida. Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds, with about 70% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch. A large percentage of our students do not have access to technology at home. During this pandemic our school is providing the needed technology to give families the choice to keep their children home. Despite the difficulties that many students face at home, they still come to school, in person and online, each day ready to learn and ready to grow. Their faces light up with excitement when they master a skill they've been working on. No matter what challenges they may face outside of school, they want nothing more than to be successful in school.

My Project

SeeSaw is an easy tool for teachers, students, and families to work and communicate both in the classroom and from home. SeeSaw gives students a place to document their learning, be creative and learn how to use technology. Each student is able to add things to their online journal, like photos, videos, drawings, or notes.

SeeSaw is a fun and engaging way to provide and document meaningful instruction for every learner, both at home and in the classroom.

SeeSaw will provide a way for me and my students to continue learning no matter what happens with the current pandemic.
