My Students

I teach fourth grade on the Northwest Side of Chicago. My students come from many different countries, cultures and walks of life.

This year my students are using tables.

If you know any 4th graders, you know they aren't typically very organized. The requested seat sacks will help my students keep their belongings organized so they can focus on learning. The sacks will also help limit distraction by keeping unrelated items stowed away during the various lessons I will be teaching.

My Project

I believe teaching organizational skills at an early age is key to educational success. Swapping out tables for desks in my classroom this year will allow for more interaction between students while working on projects. Unfortunately, it also limits storage for my students.

The requested seat sacks are a creative and fun way to solve the storage shortage brought about by using tables instead of desks.

By adding seat sacks to the chairs in my classroom I will have the best of both worlds, tables for greater interaction and storage space for organization.
