Hi! This is Mrs. S.'s class. We wear cool things on our ears, because we are deaf and hard of hearing. They help us to hear! We are in a special class, because we are deaf. We use a microphone to connect our FMs on our hearing aids or cochlear implants. The FM helps us listen to just our teacher. Our teacher, Mrs. S. is a teacher of the deaf. She typed this for us, but we told her what to do.
We need costumes to bring our knowledge of the Boston Massacre and Boston Tea Party to life!
We are learning about the Road to the Revolutionary War and will be conducting mock trials at the end of the year!
My Project
For the past few weeks and for the next month we will be diving deep into the Road to the Revolutionary War. For their writing pieces, students will be creating scripts for mock trials for the Boston Tea Party and the Boston Massacre. The items listed will help us make costumes for the students to wear. We'll have hats for the redcoats, create t-shirts that look like coats, and wigs for our witnesses and lawyers.
Bringing historical events will deepen my students' ability to understand.
They are already engaged in learning about the Road to the Revolutionary War, and are ready and willing to put the work into creating a script for their trials. Please help me surprise them with costumes for a rememberable event!
