My Students
My kiddos are very unique. My kids need lots of sensory input such a visuals, tactile, and gross motor toys. My kids learn in a very unique way while still enjoying the art of learning!
I have the opportunity to teach kids with autism. My kids learn in a very unique way. These students are kinder and first graders learning in their own specific way.
They are very excited to come to class everyday to expand their critical thinking. They take pride in the way they learn and bring some new to the classroom everyday.
My Project
Having these items will allow for different structures of learning in my classroom. One way they will be used is as a STEM center. Students can use Popsicle sticks, rubber bands, and Pom-poms to learn their math. My students need modifications when learning. My students also need a lot of visuals to transition from activity to activity. With these supplies such as Pegboards, Gears, Cubes, and puzzles, it will help my students learn the way they need to learn. Our classrooms are not yet at the level technologically to meet their needs as learners. This grant will help to close that gap just a little bit more.
