My Students

My students are wonderful, sweet, kind and inquisitive.

Eager to grow and a true joy to teach, they want to learn it all!

These aspiring mathematicians love to see math concepts unfold as we tackle problems that require critical thinking! Unfortunately the shuttering of school has made it a challenge to provide the high quality instruction they deserve.

My Project

A document camera will help me demonstrate the visual side of math. My students know that math is more than algorithms! They want to be involved and see how math works.

With a document camera distance learning can be as rich and engaging as my classroom.

Currently I am trying to write using a touch pad and a mouse! With a document camera I can explore misconceptions, do think a-louds, and model the math with manipulatives!

Also, next year I will be able to use it in a small group setting .
