Seeing is Believing
My students need to have visual aids, including the What's in Tobacco Smoke? display, to help them learn. These models will bring to life the information about drugs.
Do you remember the days of sitting in a classroom listening to a teacher talk as you took notes from the chalkboard? Yea, my kids don't find that interesting either. That is why I bring in as many visual aids as possible.
My students are 8th grade students that love to learn.
They look forward to health class and the different adventures we take each class. These students are from a low income area and most of them do not have parent support. They need this class to learn about different facts and skills that will teach them how to behave in the real world.
A play without props would be boring. These visual aids become my props and my students become the audience. When I find the materials to help bring my lessons to life, the students respond and in turn learn. My students look forward to coming to a class that has activities that are hands on. Please help us make my prop-less play into the newest Broadway hit! These models will bring to life the information about drugs.
By donating to my classroom you will help change the dynamics of the classroom.
These visual aids will help create an environment that students want to be in. With everything that is going on in their world, my classroom needs to be a place that allows there minds to become creative.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
