My Project

Each one of my students has a learning disability. When asking students to complete a task, they need to see what you want them to do. Students need mutli-sensory activities that include visuals as well as auditory directions.

A document camera allows me to put up the worksheets we are working on, the visual models I have for them to follow, as well as samples of good work that students can use to model their work after.

I can take worksheets and zoom in on the section I want them to fill in and make it big enough for my students will visual issues to read and copy from. It also allows me to show them step-by-step how to complete interactive notebooks that require cutting a gluing. When we are doing writing, I can take a student's paper and show the class something they did really well instead of just saying it out loud. In social studies, I can use this to zoom in on pictures that are hard to read in the book as well as go over their fill-in notes and worksheets. This camera is a lifesaver for my students.
