Help me give my students a way to see the world in my World Studies class! An iPad, Apple pencil, and Apple TV will help me give notes, show examples, take virtual tours, write on maps and more!
My students are a group of diverse kids in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. They come from all socioeconomic levels with around half receiving free and reduced lunch. Their interests vary widely from sports and video games to art and music. They love their phones, their sneakers, and their friends, but they often have to deal with difficult things while still managing to be responsible students, and most of them do so beautifully.
I want my classroom to be a place where they can come to feel safe, supported, curious and engaged as we learn all about geography and cultures of countries around the world.
My Project
Seeing is truly believing when it comes to how spectacularly beautiful and fascinating our world is! My students are much more easily engaged when they have visuals to help them learn, and since these middle school students are hooked on technology, it helps when those visuals are digital. Having an iPad, Apple pencil, and Apple TV in my classroom will help me be able to show them places, take virtual tours, give notes and instruction on maps, make presentations and more!
These tools will help us see the world every day without having to leave our classroom!
I am excited to see how many ways we can find to learn with this new technology.
