My Students

I have the honor and pleasure of teaching a wonderful group of 7 and 8-year-old students in a charter school in Hyde Park, Massachusetts. It is my goal to provide each student with the tools and resources needed to be successful both in and out of the classroom. Our community of learners is quite diverse, we have students from a variety of different cultures and linguistic backgrounds. The majority of our students receive free/reduced lunches and some travel a great distance to attend our school. Our second-grade class has 23 students that enjoy learning and growing in a loving and supportive community.

My Project

Every one of us learns differently, but when an educator engages the students using multiple formats, all students learn and retain information better. I am asking for a document camera for our classroom so I can better engage their minds in all subjects as they follow along as I model for them.

By adding this technology to our classroom, you will be aiding me in creating and delivering more dynamic and engaging lessons and making learning more accessible and fun for students.

I will be able to model scientific experiments, display books for read-alouds in a way that everyone can see the pictures, model proper handwriting and more! My students will benefit from these enhanced learning opportunities every day and across the curriculum.
