My students need access to visual representations of material. Recently, our projector broke, so this replacement will help us continue to learn in multiple ways.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our wonderful little school is a diverse wonderland of students from all walks of life. Not only is our student body diverse, but the students learn from and embrace each others differences.
Unlike some of our surrounding school districts, our district does not have unlimited access to resources and funding.
Thankfully, we have amazing parents and administration that go above and beyond to ensure our students are receiving the best education possible. Our school is truly a dream school, job, and neighborhood asset.
My Project
In our classroom, I use multiple means of representation to help my students learn. Through the use of our projector students are allowed to engage in learning differently. For example, students get to watch instructional videos and view and sing along to our vocabulary songs. This tool also allows me to show as well as tell when we are in language arts class. Sadly, our project died a few days before spring break. We use this tool every single day of the year to enhance our learning. Without a projector we will have to rely on a lot discussions or handouts, which would limit many students understanding of new materials. Thank you for taking the time to donate and share our project!
