My Students
I have some of the hardest working students in the world. They give 100% have great attendance and maintain a positive view of the world. They also deal with many challenges.
Our neighborhood is one of the toughest in the city with crime and poverty threatening to undermine their good work at every turn.
In spite of all of these challenges they persevere. They still maintain their childhood wonder, their ideals and passion for life.
It has always been my goal to give my students all that they deserve and with your help they will continue to flourish.
My Project
Our classroom's old projector has finally kicked the bucket. It is not an exaggeration to say that this is devastating to our classroom learning.
Our curriculum is rich and rigorous and requires us to watch documentaries, explore maps , listen to podcasts and create presentations .
Without having a reliable projector this is not possible. We were lucky to receive 5 Ipad minis a few years ago and with the apple TV we will be able to create and present our ideas to the class in real time.
The students have thrived with the use of technology and I would hate to derail their progress because a new projector is not in the budget.
