My Students

I teach approximately 110 rural low socioeconomic students in Science 8th grade. They range from low level ability to gifted and come from a variety of family backgrounds many residing with grandparents and or aunts and uncles. All students in the school receive free breakfast and lunches from a grand program.

My Project

The project will provide my students with an Apple tv to help them visualize science concepts. Students will be able to focus in on work that I may be sharing with them or the students sharing with one another. My students all have iPads, therefore their work will be able to be displayed using the Apple TV also. The Apple pen will assist me in providing answers to my students, as well as, completing diagrams for them.

An Apple TV and Apple pen gives my students a more advanced way of learning science through the use of technology.

The test strips and finger printing papers will be used for the students to complete experiments in the class. Students will be able to find out hereditary genes for taste. Students will also be able to take each other's fingerprints that shows each of their individuality.
