Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! I cherish watching my students enjoy learning and interacting with others. Each of my students has brought something unique and spectacular to our classroom family. There's no better feeling that we get when we watch each other succeed. We work hard in third grade to help each other learn and be the best us that we can be!
Is there a better way to ensure our nation's future than by investing in our children ~ I think not!

My Project
My classroom is in desperate need of magnetic whiteboards to replace the outdated and older ones we have. Since they are very difficult to erase, my students are not able to use them. They are dull. One of my whiteboards is a whiteboard material that has been glued on top of the older darker writing surface!
Help my kiddos get excited about showing their thinking.
If we had new magnetic whiteboards I could easily show their creative solutions, models, and also give them opportunities to demonstrate their learning for others to see unique approaches to answers.
When students are engaged in their learning, they are more likely to remember. My students get excited when asked to use whiteboards to demonstrate their work. Our class likes to use the whiteboard for brainstorming ideas in science and literacy. They like to pair/share during word study to decode new words into syllable types. My little mathematicians feel accomplished when they are able to show the steps they took in problem-solving. Having a bright, smooth, whiteboard will give my students an opportunity to let their thinking shine in front of their peers!
