My Students

My students attend a very small, but wonderful rural school in Northern California. As 7th and 8th graders they are as good as the come. They have a strong desire to learn and are very inquisitive.

Being able to provide them with a window to the microscopic world is something I cannot pass up.

Opportunities for hands-on learning are minimal since we have limited space and resources, but whenever there is a chance for a project, they eat it up.

My Project

With the aid of the Celestron and other microscopes, my students will open their eyes to a world unseen to them. Our small school has very limited supplies for science and these tools will enable the budding scientists to really look into, and understand, the microscopic world that helps to make up all that is around us.

I am looking forward to hearing, “Hey, come look at this!” when they focus in on their explorations.

To have many students simultaneously using the microscopes, as well as being able to project images from my microscope to the front of the room, will greatly enhance their learning.
