My Students

I have a classroom of inquisitive, dedicated, thoughtful, caring, and joyful individuals. They are students with a wide range of disabilities including Autism, Down Syndrome, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Seizure disorder and more. All of my students need a variety of individual attention to support their learning. This can include special seating, modified curriculum, as well as physical and visual supports. Many of my families come from low-middle income families and are unable to provide the supplies students need to be successful.

The kids in my classroom are hard workers who love to show the world how to live, love, and learn!

My Project

Over the past two years my students have learned to write books through the process called chart writing. They produce their ideas, help edit, and then add the pictures they want to represent their thoughts. However, this year, their books have been left unpublished due to a lack of color printing resources.

A color printer will allow our class to not only print copies of their books to have in the classroom, it will allow them to have their very own copies to bring home and show their families.

Imagine the smiles they will have reading their own books to their family!
