Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As we venture into the world of digital learning there are some successes and some road bumps! Some of my students are without laptops and tablets and are accessing Google Classroom on phones or siblings technology. Some of my students do not even have their own rooms or a quiet place to work! We even have found out due to parents working as nurses and other essential employees some kids are couch hopping. It is hard to learn when there is no consistency, so I would love for my presentations to be clear and loud for them.
We are also starting to set up our clubs from home so I need to make some demos from home!
My Project
So since we left our classroom so quickly I left much-needed supplies home. I generally do my work at school so I do not even have a computer at home! I have been sharing my own kid's Chromebook.
A monitor will allow me to have a larger screen so when I am hosting online chat and working on lessons I will actually be able to see what I am doing.
I also set up a mini hydroponic garden but left all the nutrients home! I am asking for a gallon because we can use it when we are back in class in September as well as now on the mini one I made!
